Scope:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Services & Program Innovation, the Director Services & Community Engagement will be responsible for ensuring service excellence in the delivery of Integrated Employment Services in the Peel Region, meeting all SSM required deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the SVP, Services & Program Innovation in the development, implementation, and evaluation of assigned employment programs.
  • Ensure oversight of the Peel Region sites and site management teams in Mississauga and Brampton
  • Ensure oversight and accountability for the implementation of SSM (WCG) specific deliverables including policy and contractual requirements, KPIs and performance targets for each site.
  • Work closely in collaboration with the Senior Director, Integrated Employment Services Systems to maintain compliance with SSM requirements.
  • Provide programmatic leadership to the staff and management of these programs, identifying opportunities to maximize productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of integrated programs and services in the organization.
  • Ensure oversight and execution of quality management plans, service initiatives to meet outcome targets.
  • Conduct monthly File Audits to ensure compliance with funder requirements.
  • Manage the reporting of program results and development of business plans, ensuring outcomes meet and/or exceed funder contractual obligations.
  • Prepare for Monthly/Quarterly meetings with the WCG (SSM) to discuss results, achievements, and improvements.
  • Oversee global budget management, including forecasting over and under expenditures and ensuring line-item reallocation and corresponding expenditures in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assume a lead role in identifying and incorporating program enhancements and subsequently coordinating stakeholder engagement and follow through.
  • Oversee contracting processes with vendors (e.g., evaluation, procurement, data management, invoicing etc.)
  • Support the organization in the development and maintenance of stakeholder relationships.
  • Represent ACCES in the Peel community networks and collaboration initiatives.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and cultural awareness with regards to serving the needs of newcomer clients
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • University Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years related work experience; prior management experience.
  • Experience with Employment Ontario or Employment Ontario transformation.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, a collaborative decision-maker, and an open and effective communicator (verbal and written).
  • Proven success in program implementation in outcomes-based initiatives
  • In-depth understanding of strategic priorities specific to provincially and federally funded sector specific programs/projects, in particular the SSM model.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering collaboration and developing highly engaged teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain good working relationships with all levels in the organization and with employers, sector advisory groups, community partners, funders, and service providers.
  • Ability to handle the privacy of confidential information and use sound judgment in protecting proprietary and/or confidential information related to business activities.
  • Experience in proposal development, writing, budgeting, and responding to funding Requests for Proposals, and other funding submissions.
  • Exceptional planning, organization, and problem-solving skills; must be pro-active, and have a sense of urgency.
  • Proven strength in human resources areas such as performance management, team leadership, and staff coaching/mentoring etc.
  • Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector and experience delivering integrated employment programs.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of local labor market trends and community services networks.
  • Ability to travel between ACCES locations or as required.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

We are currently on a hybrid work schedule, working in the office and from home. This hybrid work schedule is subject to change based on business requirements.
